Turkey pate

Here’s a tasty recipe for turkey pâté:

Ingredients:

  • 300g cooked turkey (leftover roast turkey works well)
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (like thyme, parsley, or sage)
  • 1 tablespoon brandy or sherry (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Sauté the Aromatics: In a pan, melt a little butter and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for another minute. Allow to cool.

  2. Blend the Mixture: In a food processor, combine the cooked turkey, softened butter, sautéed onion and garlic, fresh herbs, and brandy or sherry (if using). Blend until smooth.

  3. Season: Taste the pâté and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice to your liking.

  4. Chill: Transfer the mixture to a container and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to develop.

  5. Serve: Serve chilled with crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks. You can garnish with additional herbs if desired.
